Sporting events bring in the largest amount of revenue open to the public. Majority of the revenue is predetermined and is "already spent" money. According to Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, every OKC game brings in $1.3 million directly into the local economy. Without these large amounts of money being poured into the economy, local businesses and stores would be forced to closed and the chains and corporations would take over, helping the national economy, but worsening the local economy of that town.
